The Writer of your Own Script

It may be helpful to think of life as a play, someone writes the script, someone directs the actors, and someone plays the starring role. Thinking of your life, put names to each of these: scriptwriter, director, and star. Did you put your name down three times? To feel fully alive and have a chance at a fulfilling and satisfying life, we must recognize that we are all three; scriptwriter, director, and star. We are living the life we scripted even if we took on the script of someone else’s life. It was still our decision to do so.

If your life now seems boring, unsatisfying, and humdrum day to day existence, why not start writing a new story? Just for the fun of it, take out a piece of blank paper and put this at the top:

My New Life Story.

Write the next chapter of your life. Describe the star of your story in great detail. The star is you. How do you feel? What do you do? Who are you with? Does this new story excite you? Does it feel more like the real you? Don’t answer these questions with your head; your heart will tell you the truth. You’ll know deep inside if what you’ve written is the right path for you. It may be scary to think about, but if it feels right then it is right.

Change is hard, and it can be frightening, but dreams do come true.

Scientists know that people who visualize their goals in great detail and with strong emotion generally achieve those goals. You, too, can change your life. Even though it will take some time, energy, and courage to change, taking control of your life can be very satisfying in itself. Just knowing that you are in charge, responsible and accountable for your life can bring new satisfaction and fulfillment to each day. Life’s difficulties and challenges can become more manageable, seen more as temporary obstacles than permanent blocks.

SELF EMPOWERMENT

“If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem”- Eldridge Cleaver

Every life is unique in the sense that all of us have the liberty to live our life to the fullest. If you start to feel that you don’t have a goal in life and are not enthusiastic and positive about anything and everything, perhaps you have lost control of your life to others.

“What you are comes to you.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Have you ever asked yourself the following questions:

Who am I?

Why am I here?

What is my purpose in this world?

What can I do to change?

Many people live by allowing life to define who we are. They exist plainly – wandering the world with no sense of purpose, passions, dreams, and without any goals or even desires.

Emotional Empowerment

What does your life feel like? What factors are preventing you from getting out of that chair and into a different state of being?

The first thing you have to look at is, do you have control over your emotions or do they have control over you. Achieving the balance is the key. Even if you have no emotions, it means that you are way out of balance.

How can you generate happiness? How do you remove the barriers to have a happier more balanced life? When you say, I want to be happy. What does that mean? How can your world give you something unless you define it?

Think about all the things you wish to change about your life. How do you neutralize the bad things? How can you draw in more of the positive life force giving things? Are you still looking for peace of mind?

Emotions flow, thoughts flow, your life flows. When we learn how to adjust the flow we can use what is a natural process to enhance our lives and the lives of many others. Emotions are crucial to ones well being. You need a friend, family member or a partner to vent your emotions. When we learn how to adjust the flow we can use what is a natural process to enhance our lives and the lives of many others.

The quality time spent with your family also arouses your emotions. You can do a lot of things with your family like dine together, watch television together, have long binding and quality talks anything and everything under the sun and all this eases stress, rejuvenates confidence, formulate a better you, leading your path to a healthy life and self empowerment.

Stress puts a negative effect on our bodies. Once we learn how to eliminate stress at the source then we have more energy for our own health. There are many resources for stress management. I am going to give you one for preemptive stress elimination. You can remove stress at its source by taking some action towards eliminating the factors that caused the stress in the first place.

Being Different

Are you scared of being different? Of being unique to all the rest? Are worried about what people might say if you pursue your goals and fail?

You shouldn’t feel that way because one of the fundamental keys to success and happiness is to be different. Defying the norms and taking the road less traveled by is favorable in most cases. Someone once mentioned that the opposite of courage is not cowardice, but conformity – when people behave like everyone else.

To really succeed in life, you have to accept that you will need to be different from the majority of people you interact with. In order to create a distinctive mark, your habits, thoughts, attitude, and personality need to be different from most people around you.

While many people are too scared to pursue their dreams and aspirations because of what others might say if they fail, one thing that is guaranteed to you is that if you do not go after your dreams, your dreams will not be realized for you. So, dare to be different.

Though people are often frightened to strive against the wind, take that giant step and instigate change. Start with yourself. Love every little piece of that reflection you see – the face in the mirror – which epitomizes the image and likeness of God. The Man upstairs never creates something hideous in His eyes. The people around you only give malicious meanings to anything that is unacceptable to their tastes and preferences, but what makes their judgment more credible than your own? So, practice self-love and positive affirmations. Love begins within you. When you begin to picture yourself as beautiful, everything else follows. People will start to see you in a whole new light, since you radiate so much optimism. Like attracts like – it’s contagious.

“Love is not what we become but who we already are.” – Stephen Levine

Power of Self Examination

One of the most important steps we need to take is to always look at ourselves first. Examine YOURSELF. Start to eliminate one by one the things that you dislike about yourself and throw it down the drain and completely out of your life. Since most of us don’t know ourselves fully, we are clueless about the baggage we need to dispose of. I suggest that you start with anger, envy, deceit or dishonesty, unkind remarks and gossip and being unforgiving. Identify them within you and replace them all with LOVE and a soft tongue.

Scrutinize your attitude. How do you respond to and interact with people? Do you smile when you see them or simply turn your back and ignore them? Life can take us far if we have a positive attitude about everything. A positive attitude will attract positive results. A negative attitude will always bring negative results. The words that you put out into the atmosphere are even more important to examine. Your tongue can be a deadly tool. Examine your attitude no matter how the situation appears from your perspective. Someone always has to be the bigger person. Why not allow yourself to become that person? Spread love and positive energy at all times. Do not allow the trials in your life to break you down. It is in your life merely to build you up and bring a positive temperament into your life. You are simply being defined as the person you were created to be.

We all were given a first name at birth. Most names have a meaning associated with them and can describe a person’s character. Take my name, Trenia, for example which means “Pure.” With that in mind, I strive to walk daily in the purity that God has called me into. I suggest you also look up the meaning of your name and break down each letter by a positive characteristic that you would like to have. My name is broken down in such a way below:

T – Truthful

R – Respectful

E – Empowered

N – Nurturing / Nirvana / Noble

I – Inspiring

A – Aspiration / Achievement

The only person that you see when you look at your face in the mirror is yourself. Remove the mask and thoroughly look at yourself. Not just the physical but look beyond that. Take a deep internal look at yourself and begin to change the things that you do not like and replace them with characteristics that you love.

“Failures are divided into two classes- Those who thought and never did, and those who did and

never thought” – John Charles Salak

Thinking is a form of mental activity that allows us to visualize the world around and to deal  with it according to our desires.

“Imagine Having Anything You Want By Just ‘Thinking’ About It”—

An Abundant way of living ~ sounds wonderful doesn’t it? This will basically mean different things to different people and the definition will evolve as you grow older.

What is YOUR own definition?

For me an abundant life is an Empowered Spiritual life. Co-Creating, on purpose, a life filled with happiness and joy, peace and prosperity; a life where your deepest desires are in reality. But, what does thinking have to do with it? Mental activity ~ the random thoughts that clutter our minds as we unconsciously make our way through our day is not true “thinking”.

How many times have you heard your parent ask you, “WHAT were you thinking?” Problem with that question ~ there is no answer…you were NOT thinking, you were on auto-pilot.

The type of “thinking” that builds an abundant empowered life is intentional thought – focusing on your deepest desires. Why don’t you focus on what you REALLY want all the time?

The deeply held unconscious beliefs by you builds archetypes and patterns that lead to habits that create circumstances in your life that are not pleasing to you. Then, when you complain about it – you just create more of it. Yuck!

The nice news is that you possess all the powers to alter your life pointed out inside you. You have probably heard the sayings, “What you think about ~ you bring about.” and “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.” Isn’t it magnificent to think your way to the abundant way of living that you dream of having?

You CAN re-write the story of your life – beginning RIGHT NOW!

It is possible. Your mind have the capability to magnetize anything that it wants. You just have to believe it and incorporate some ingredients to it. Of course, this goes without saying that you’ll be required to take action towards it.

Frankly speaking, you need to understand how powerful this technique is. Your thoughts attract things to you just like a magnet, bad or good.

ONE OF A KIND!

Think what an amazing and extraordinary thing it is to be you! Of all the people who have come and gone on the earth, since the start of time, not ONE of them is like YOU!

Everyone has their own unique qualities.

No one who has ever lived or is to come has had your combination of abilities, talents, appearance, friends, acquaintances, burdens, sorrows and opportunities.

No, one’s hair grows exactly the way yours does. No one’s finger prints are similar as yours. No one has the similar combination of secret inside jokes and family expressions that you know. The few people who laugh at all the same things you do; don’t sneeze the way you do. Don’t eat the way you do, and don’t sleep the way you do. No one prays about exactly the same concerns as you do. No one is loved by the same combination of people that love you – NO ONE!

NO ONE BEFORE – AND NO ONE TO COME – You are absolutely one of a kind! You have to seize the moment and savor your uniqueness. You do not have to mock someone or pretend that you are somebody. You are not meant to be the same. You do not have to lie to conceal the parts of you that are not like what you see in anyone else.

You were meant to be different. Nowhere ever in all of history of mankind will the same things be going on in anyone’s mind, soul and spirit as are going on in yours right now. If you did not exist, there would be a hole in creation, a gap in history, something missing from the plan for humankind. Nurture and seize the moment of your uniqueness. It is the only gift that is given to you. You have to savor it.

No one can reach out to others in the same way that you can. No one can speak your words. No one can convey your meanings. No one can comfort with your kind of comfort. No one can bring your kind of understanding to another person. No one can be funky and light hearted in your manners. No one can mimic your own smile. Signature, isn’t it? No one else can supplement the whole package to another individual.

Share your uniqueness. Let it be freely flowing out among your family and friends and people you meet in the rush and clutter of living wherever you are. God has given this kind of gift to you so you have to enjoy and make the most out of it, and of course, you have to share it. You have to give yourself away.

See it! Receive it! Let it tickle you! Let it inform you and nudge you and inspire you! YOU

ARE UNIQUE!

Power of Self-Confidence

Self-confidence or self-esteem is an individual’s conviction in his own skills and power of judgment. Simply put, if you believe in yourself, you possess self-confidence.

If you don’t trust your abilities, and you always have doubts and fears about yourself, you must be suffering from lack of self-confidence. Furthermore, you are also uncertain of yourself and constantly hesitate when you need to take care of your responsibilities.

On the other hand, a confident person makes an excellent leader; he encourages people to depend on his own capabilities. He also has authority over his emotions and regularly rises to the top effortlessly.

Although it is pretty normal to feel excited yet scared when you’re taking on a new task, or anything new for that matter, a self-assured person would look at it as an opportunity in a cool, composed manner – without any detracting thoughts, such as “what if I fail?” and “what if people don’t like what I do?” In short, there shouldn’t be any apprehensions and excuses.

Reminiscent of your first day at school, stepping into unfamiliar grounds is undoubtedly scary. Of course it is, but how can it not be? Taking a plunge into untested waters gives anyone the creeps. It’s human nature.

However, being human does not give you the leeway to shy away from being daring and pushing yourself to be much more of what you can be. Beat yourself! If you have that blazing desire, passion and eagerness to accomplish something, nothing and no one in the world could prevent you – except YOU.
